In 1979 at the young age of sixteen, Steve left his native Australia with the aim of encountering as many different oceans and cultures as possible, crisscrossing the globe drawing and painting along the way. In 1990 Steve moved to Hawaii leaving his home in Australia  - He began to paint the profusion of the natural world he saw around the globe, developing a distinctive style to communicate its beauty and abundance, since then he has emerged as one of the world’s leading environmental artists.
