This chime is tuned to the last chord of the intensely beautiful song Hymne à L'Amour (Hymn to Love). The French lyrics are by Edith Piaf, who first sang it in Paris in 1949 as a tribute to her lover who tragically died in a plane crash on his way to see her. Many diverse singers, including Edith Piaf, Fubuki Koshiji and Cyndi Lauper, have recorded Hymn to Love. The sound of the Woodstock French Romance Chime is our tribute to Edith Piaf and the everlasting power of love.
