Description
From the New England Village Series, a collection by Department 56, portraying a simpler time when America was beginning its great traditions. This delightful windmill has been perfectly converted to a garden store, offering the people of Nantucket the best selection of bulbs, winter greens, and indoor plants during the holiday season. Sculpted porcelain plants, beautiful graphic signage, tiny garden tools and a winter sleigh filled with holly add to the charm of historic shingle architecture. Animated vanes turn with authentic effect. Did you know? Nantucket was once home to 4 windmills, Remaining today is The Old Mill, built in 1746. It is currently the oldest functioning mill in the US, where visitors can observe as corn is ground into meal.
