Warm, tropical sun and some of nature’s magic create beautiful, succulent oranges and the finest cacao.
Lush, ripe and always pulp-free, let the premium dark chocolate melt on your tongue to reveal the sweet tang of a Valencia. In life, a little rain must fall, but this grand orange is sunshine on a cloudy day.
About Birnn Chocolates of Vermont:
Charles Birnn began creating chocolate confections in 1915. For over 30 years he delighted customers in Brooklyn, NY and central New Jersey. When Charles’ son, Edward Birnn, joined the business, he opened 11 candy shops in Pennsylvania and New Jersey during the ‘50s and ‘60s. In 1991, Jeff and his brother Bill Birnn, moved their truffle endeavor to Vermont to get closer to the dairy cows (and skiing!). There, they changed the name to Birnn Chocolates of Vermont and began focusing exclusively on making truffles.
Jeff’s daughter, Julia, and her husband, Mel Fields, continued the family tradition and came into the business as full-time employees in 2010. In 2016 the family business transitioned ownership to the fourth generation. Julia and Mel are humbled by the opportunity to continue crafting truffles using the family’s 100-year-old recipes
