A board game by renowned designer Antoine Bauza. Players care for the Nippon Emperor’s giant panda by keeping up with his bamboo plantation.Your mission: to farm and irrigate parcels of land growing bamboo.Players cultivate land plots, irrigate them, and grow one of the three species of bamboo (Green, Yellow and Pink).Can you grow bamboo across your plantation as a mischievous panda eats wherever he can?

Each turn, you’ll see what the weather brings your way!

Perform actions like getting a new plot of land, digging irrigation channels, growing bamboo, feeding the panda, or drawing an objective card.

Colorful miniatures for the giant panda and the Emperor’s gardener suit the game's light-spirited tone, and these figures will be critical to your designs to grow the most beautiful bamboo stands.

Takenoko includes plastic bamboo sections and twenty-eight beautifully illustrated garden plots, which combine to create a unique playing experience.

At the end of the game, whichever player has earned the most points from his objectives wins!
