Description
Welcome to Alpine Village by Department 56 - a series as unique as the towns and hamlets of the Alpine and Bavarian regions they represent. Hand knit sweaters are the ideal garment in Alpine regions. The warmest sweaters use wool sheered from local sheep. Thus, mills dot the country side, utilizing falling mountain streams for the process of creating yarn from wool. This animated mill features a turning water wheel which spins over the adjacent brook. Window boxes filled with sculpted greens and berries, along with sculpted garland and bows, add a festive trim. Sign in front: Alps Woole Muhle = Alps Wool Mill. Sign on the side: Wassermuhle = Watermill. Hanging sign: Woole & Waren = Wool and Goods. Coordinates with 4050906 Shepherding The Flock accessory figurine.
