A Saxon Brand Coffee Container from the E.D. Keys & Co. Distributors of Rutland, Vermont.  It held One pound of Ground Coffee. E.D. Keyes & Co. was a Vermont Importer who began operations back in 1871. 

The trademark on the box has a Patent Date of 1913.

The directions say this is a 'Steel-Cut' coffee , and that you add 1 tablespoon of coffee for each cup of water, let it come to a boil, and then pour in a half cup of cold water, stir, strain, and serve.
