This is a good sized tin for a Cigarette case as most from this time were 4 inches or so, this one is 6" x 4.5" x 1.5". Rameses II made by Stephano Brothers of Philadelphia, PA. The tin still has the original Tax Stamp (Series 107 - 100 Cigarette Stamp). The label on the bottom reads "Factory No 2032 - 1st District State of PA Notice. The manufacturer of the cigarettes herein contained has complied with all the requirements of law. Every person is cautioned not to use either this box for cigarettes again or the stamp thereon again, nor to remove the contents of this box without destroying said stamp, under the penalties provided by law in such cases" |
